Feelings in My Body Actvity - Chalkboard

A$18.95

A therapeutic activity to help your child learn about feelings in their body, improving their emotional intelligence and confidence in managing their emotions. Help them make learn to not only name emotions, but explore where they feel them in their body.

The feelings activity encourages language development, communication and conversation about emotions and coping strategies. This resource is ideal for families to use at home, but also in professional settings such as; play therapy, counselling, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, occupational therapy, early intervention, special educational needs and autism.

Children can have a tricky time identifying their feelings. They often cant make the connection between a feeling and the sensation in their body, all they recognise is an intense reaction to something thats happening around them or phsyical discomfort without knowing why. This activity helps them learn to pay attention to signals in their bodies, patterns or triggers and match them with an emotion. The next step is then being able to learn appropriate strategies to manage these emotions.

Each feelings board is handmade in Australia using wood, so each is slightly unique. One side is a chalkboard to allow for use over and over again. The pack can be purchased with or without coloured chalk - so please ensure you select the appropriate pack. Please note that there is no chalk included in this pack.
