A$4.00

A fantastic therapy worksheet for supporting young children recognise, verbalise and manage their emotions.

Being able to correctly identify emotions is an important part of social development and those who are more competent in these areas tend to have more positive relationships, feel more empowered and confident, but they are also less likely to ger dysregulated or become overwhelmed by their emotions. This is because when they can understand and express what is happening with their emotions it reduces frustration, fear and other big reactions. It also helps them express and find ways to communicate about the need that is driving the emotions (and in turn get that need met - which reduces the intensity of the feeling)

This colourful worksheet is a great tool for helping children identify their feelings and rate the intensity and can help open up understanding and communication about different feelings. This activity can be used by parents, teachers, childcare educators or anyone caring for children.

The feelings thermometer activity encourages language development, communication and conversation about emotions and coping strategies. This resource is ideal for families to use at home, but also in professional settings such as; play therapy, counselling, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, occupational therapy, early intervention, special educational needs and autism.
